Last week I was approached a lot asking what I thought of Romy and Savannah's murder. Well, there is only one answer to that: terrible! I didn't really follow the news regarding the two 14-year-old girls at first, because I have a daughter of that age myself, whose mother keeps her away from me completely. Because I don't see my daughter, it was therefore too emotionally intense for me. I just couldn't handle reading about it at all. It's already hell for me that I don't see my daughter and then to read a story about missing girls in the same age group who end up turning out to be murdered. It will happen to you! Your daughter in the prime of her life, is snatched from life! That is pure horror and I certainly don't see a conspiracy in it either. I do see the media capable of spinning a lot of lies and dare I say the same in many cases, but could not believe in it in this case.
But then that may be the immediate pain point. We sometimes cannot believe things because it affects us so emotionally. As a result, we often fail to look critically or to investigate. Especially if something affects you very strongly; then sometimes we even refuse to take the step to look critically. Does this bother me? The media often present things so convincingly that you usually give in to the story. In this case, however, there is no reason to think a story has been spun. With some things like terror attacks, sometimes you can point out indications or clear misses that allow you to say something was staged. Sometimes there is a false flag attack. In those cases, there is clearly an agenda to be pushed through the maxim "Problem, Reaction, Solution," where the problem is formed by the terror, the reaction usually leads to terror and fear among the population and the state provides the solution to the (self-created) problem in the form of even more police state measures.
Yes, you could imagine that in these cases (because they are 2 cases with 2 different young suspects, both of whom have since confessed) it becomes clear at some point that social media played a big role in, say, a flare-up of jealousy. So it could be that these cases will eventually be used for an agenda after all. You could then think, for example, of more control on social media; you could also think of promoting a chip under the skin so that you (the state) can see where your child is in real time. But so far we see no indications in that direction and so only one thing remains and that is great sorrow for the parents of the victims. The parents of the perpetrators must also be going through hell, because who would expect their child to turn into a killer.
Perhaps it would be useful anyway as parents to educate your children about the use of social media in general. While fairly little is known about the entire facts of the murders, you can imagine that these days it is increasingly easy to find out where your child is. After all, they often just show it themselves through apps like Snapchat. In that context, it may be easier for potential perpetrators to look up your child and proceed to the evil deed. Also, perhaps jealousy can flare up more quickly because children see and show everything about each other. Parents of young boys may need to look into the games they play and the ease with which they learn to commit virtual murder in some games. The influence of such games may be more harmful than you think. For example, take a look at the below compilation of brutal murders in the game GTA5 (Grand Theft Auto 5). Can you imagine if you let your children play such games, that their sensitivity threshold regarding murder is affected? With that in mind, you might want to look into the dangerous effects of subliminal programming, hidden messages in games and other MK Ultra-like techniques.
I will not go too deeply into the effects of games and social media here now, but would like to point out that it might be wise to pull your children out of the digital world a bit more and keep them in the "real world. Otherwise, I resign myself to silence and a sad feeling about what happened to these young girls. It must be hell for the parents, family, and friends.

Below just a thought from a reader on Facebook (see here) regarding Romy and Savannah. I am curious what other readers think about this.
Bye Martin,
May I take the liberty of responding via pm to your post about the girls?
A theory:
Savannah was kidnapped Thursday afternoon during her bike ride and murdered later that weekend (perhaps tbh an elite Pentecostal sacrifice (who knows where)). She could not be returned to the site until after the sacrifice (on the night of June 4/5.
The area around Savannah's site was cordoned off as early as 11:40 Sunday morning (to prevent people from searching there as well and thus preventing it from being used as a find site) in anticipation of the later return of the lifeless body. The entire Sunday was stretched with the excuse of approaching the body with all caution, until the body finally arrived after midnight.
Romy
It was actually intended that Savannah would be found at the spot where Romy was found. This spot was a little further out and it was not likely to be searched there in the intervening days. People were on location here on Friday making the later to be published pictures (clearly staged and illogical where forensic investigation is done while police officers walk through) of S's find, but this was probably accidentally picked up by the telegraph and published as S's find. That was too early after all, S. could only be brought back after the sacrifice, but because of the publication they could not go back and had to declare ad hoc that another 14 year old girl had been found. This scenario had to be pushed through.
Although complicated, the choice was then made to invent another victim through a VicSim profile. Romy, therefore, is not real. She is nothing more than a simulated victim. These profiles are available on demand o.a. at a company based in the Netherlands. That Romy is a VicSim can be seen by the only 3 photos, 3 condolences, a virtually empty FB profile with no friends, a private school and only statements through mainstream media from so-called a sister, a teacher, friend, and mother or father....
Then, to make it plausible that two girls were murdered, a small campaign of false media reports regarding multiple missing persons and "almost" kidnappings has occurred. All of these cases will turn out not to have been real.
So that leaves the abduction and murder of Savannah. Probably she was pulled into a car and someone got out of the car and rode on on her bike and then locked it where the bike was later found. In the direction of the intended find spot (which was thus later assigned to Romy).
Savannah was returned to the other find site or to the coroner on the night of Sunday to Monday where she was likely identified by family members.
Both perpetrators could be "found" quickly because they are completely fabricated. Romy's could already be arraigned and confessed last week because Romy does not exist nor her relatives. The entire hearing could be faked behind closed doors.
The 16-year-old "perpetrator" of Savannah will soon be released and after that the Savannah case will remain unsolved. Meanwhile, it has already been proclaimed that Savannah's case is "complicated."
And another reader also responded via private message:
Martin you know some people engage in ritual killings, I find these 2 things play out remarkably close together. And the timing is also very coincidental... don't you think?
What if the first girl was not useful for a ritual and therefore the second was kidnapped?
What if the boys who were arrested were simply the last ones who had spoken to them? making them scapegoats?
As you say, doesn't your emotional view of this case influence your critical view of this case?
14 to 16 year olds are capable of a lot of damage but killing and dumping someone so horribly? And then 2 times in a row? When was the last time a 16-year-old raped and murdered a girl in the Netherlands?
There are Snapchat clips of both Romy Nieuwburg and Savannah Dekker, though
1. Romy:

2. Savannah:

But suppose you assume nefarious intent (as the respondent on Facebook assumes), then this could also have been realized with the techniques below:

It remains a bizarre story
What else stands out: Romy Nieuwburg attended school in the village of De Glind[citation needed]:
De Glind, which has about 650 inhabitants, is also known as youth village De Glind. This is because the whole village is organized around youth care. About 120 children placed out of home live there. Furthermore, about a hundred children with complex problems also use the facilities.
Over a quarter of residential homes are family substitute homes or homes where foster parents take in children. Foster care is overseen by the Rudolph Foundation. Only recently have some families other than those of caregivers been living in the village. The J.H. Donner School is also an institution for children who, for various reasons, can no longer attend a regular school (temporarily).

Remarkable... Romy doesn't really look like a child with learning disabilities on the Snapchat video. Quote from the school's website:
The J.H. Donner School is an ordinary school, but special and distinctive. A school for special students who (temporarily) lose their grip on themselves and communicate that through problem behavior. Pupils for whom learning does not come naturally.
