During the more than 12 years that I have been engaged in writing and publishing articles online, in the beginning I sometimes replied to comments on Facebook and Twitter (nowadays X). I soon discovered that it is an energy-sucking activity and it has since become clear to me that social media is mainly populated with state agents and bots who are active there full-time to provoke discussion or respond to discussions. Nevertheless, this morning I allowed myself to be tempted into such a discussion again. What the ego operating system can tempt you to!
It was precisely a response from one such state agent that reminded me again that they know damn well what strategies and techniques they employ (and read on below):
The teaching of eristics is about teaching students of it to refute an opponent, regardless of whether he answers yes or no to the initial question. In short, it is not about fairness, not about truth, but also not about the answer itself. It is about the psychological effect of the discussion and knowingly winning the discussion. Erist is therefore defined as:
Advocacy for the sake of conflict, as opposed to conflict resolution.
Plato contrasted this type of argumentation with dialectics and other, more reasonable and logical methods. In a dialogue with Euthydemus, Plato denounced eristics. He lost that discussion irrevocably when Euthydemus himself applied eristic dialogicism. For it is more than persuasion and it is more than discussion: It is a combination of techniques to win an argument without regard to truth. Anything is permissible in it. Plato believed that the eristic style did not constitute a method of argumentation, because eristic argumentation amounts to:
The deliberate use of deceptive arguments, which deliberately weakens one's position.
Plato was right, of course. Therefore, never engage in online discussions because the AI bots and state agents are overwhelmingly trained in the eristic method. They take part of what you say or twist your words, do not listen to the logic of arguments and relentlessly continue to do so. They do this because they do not care about the fairness of the discussion and certainly not about arriving at a fair answer. The purpose of the discussion is always and only to realize the effect of ersitics, which is to bring down the other side. It is an age-old method used militarily on social media. Be aware of that.
Erist dialectics is a parasitic activity, in which the term Eris is derived from the Greek goddess Eris; the goddess of chaos, strife and discord. It is best to ignore or block those bots (as they are often ChatGPT AI bots behind a deepfake profile) and state agents (paid to sit online all day). This is because they will never stop and come at every discussion like shit flies to support each other and plant their parasitic eggs. They do not shy away from any method and always take the last word. Their mission and mission is to guard the online mood for the benefit of the desired mainstream and the desired dissent.

This is actually exactly the same if you want to break free from the system, they will do anything to get you back in line. The truth doesn't matter.
